.: Comms Problems with USB to serial cables.
 

04 Oct 2008: Some sites using USB to Serial cables have been experiencing a torrid time with comms weaknesses due to the nature of such hardware. SamPOS 2.6.1 has just been released with an added comms testing utility as well as an added 'Abort Comms' capability to allow failed 'hung' attempts to retry very easily and quickly. Current users can also obtain these extra capabilities by selecting "HELP | CHECK FOR UPDATES" at the main menu.

In the mean time the comms module authors have made improving USB to Serial comms a major priority.
 

.: Announcing PDE support for DENSO BHT 2000 - 8000 series

30 Mar 2008: Stock takes, stock transfers, goods inwards and price changes can now be integrated directly into SamPOS using DENSO PDE's. The old style TELXON is also supported for stock takes and goods inwards. All at no increase to SamPOS's already incredible low price.

.: Powerful "Head Office" FRANCHISE functionality now available.

14 Sept 2007: For the larger franchise operations requiring franchisees to forward detailed sales information to Head Office, SamPOS Express now has 'forwarding sales to Head Office' built in. The 'Head Office' copy of SamPOS Express is PERFECTLY suited for powerful trend and comparison analysis between various Franchisee operations. Charts and graphs trending performance between operators is a powerful addition to the usual range of standard reports.

This particular feature has almost a year of solid operation under it's belt; we are proud of how simple, robust and flexible the entire system is. Things like missed days or receiving data out of order from franchisees are handled with no fuss at all. There is also great flexibility in how to move the information from the Franchisee to Head Office. This system is designed to serve you and not the other way around.

.: Older ER-650 EPROMS now supported

04 July 2007: In addition to the already supported GOD1.5,  ER-650 EPROM Versions 4.3, 4.5, 5.9 & 6.2 are now supported in SamPOS Express.

.: Introducing integrated dealer support

09 December 2006: Resellers can now have their support and sales details integrated into each copy of SamPOS they deliver and install. For details on how easy it is, just click  HERE.

.: ER-650 now supported in SamPOS Express

09 December 2006: Support for the ER 650 is now available within SamPOS Express.

Please note, only the Goodson version 6.4r EPROM has been tested and is officially supported. Those with older ECR's will need to use SamPOS 650

.: ER-600 now supported

11 September 2006: Support for the ER 600 is now available within SamPOS Express.

Please again note, only the Goodson version 3.7 EPROM or later is supported. Those with older ECR's will need to contact their local SAM4S dealer to have the ECR EPROM checked and upgraded if so required.

.: FULL installation CD ISO image also available for download

11 September 2006: For those with CD Burning software, the entire SamPOS install CD is available for download on the SUPPORT page. It's size is only 57MB.

.: ER-600 support coming soon

5 September 2006: Final testing has commenced for SamPOS Express's support the ER 600. Official release is expected during the coming week.

.: ER-390 and ER-430 now has back office support

2 August 2006: SamPOS Express now supports the ER 430 and the ER 390. A fully functional copy is available HERE, SamPOS gives you 60 days to fully evaluate the software, if it meets your needs then you may then purchase and register it to make it your own.

Existing users may  use the automatic upgrade facility within the program (under Help/Check for Updates). Changes included in this release are

FEATURES:
                   *  Support added for ER 430 and ER 390.

                   *  Label interface export added under Utilities (next to File along the top)
                  
                   *  Evaluation period extended from 30 to 60 days.

BUG FIXES:
                   *  Calling sales to the same ECR twice in the same hour would fail on the second round if the first round included unknown PLU's. As calling ECR's twice in the same hour was quite rare, this took some time to rear it's head.

                   *  Changes made in the Price Spreadsheet only were not being flagged as "changed" as to be flagged for resend to the ECR.

.: Announcing SamPOS Express

11 July 2006: Sampos Express features simultaneous support for the Sam4S ER-380, ER-420 and ER-5200 all in the one easy to use package. Also featured is the widest range of back office reports and reporting tools yet introduced.

.: SamPOS Express to include support for ER-390 and ER-430

10 July 2006: Support for these new models should be on stream in quite soon.
